James Preston Boren

James Preston Boren, 83, of Haleyville, Alabama entered into rest on September 30, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.

James was born on January 20, 1939 in Fulton, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 12pm-1pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 1pm.  Brother Phil Kimbrough will officiate. Burial will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville Alabama.

James is survived by his wife, Barbara McKinney Boren; son, Rickey Boren; daughter, Debbie Cooke; grandchildren, Ben Boren, Amanda Thundershield, Nathan Boren, and Gwen Cooke; 3 great grand children; step-sons, Keith Dolan and Daryl (Christy) Dolan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Auline Boren; brothers, Dwight Boren, Charles Boren; sister, Robbie Woolridge; daughter-in-law, Tammy Boren.
