Bonnie Marie O'Connor

Bonnie Marie O’Connor, 72 of Bremen, passed away October 12, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born March 2, 1950. She was known as “Grandma Bonnie”, “Gammy”, and “Amma Bonnie”. She was a grandma to everybody, whether blood or not. She was a light for the family, and she had a smile to light a room. She was always smiling, even in her sleep. She was an amazing person. She was small but mighty,  strong and tough. A golden heart we will forever treasure.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm in the chapel at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama, where the service will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will be held at Addison Church of God Cemetery in Addison, Alabama. Pastor Andy Heis will officiate.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Larry (Kathy) Martin, and Christopher Michael O’Connor; daughter, Laura (Jimmie) Kathleen Johnson; grandchildren, Nick (Nikki) Martin, Ryan Martin, Heather (Dallas) Harrison, Nathan O’Connor, Brittney Sutherland, Carl Emerson, Travis Johnson, Caitlin O’Connor, and Johnathan O’Connor; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Trustin Martin, Wesley Martin, Kairee Sutherland, Lilly Salazar, Mila Harrison, and Xodi “Dodi” Sutherland; siblings, George Allen (Annie) Johnson, Jim (Gayle) Nessmith, and Bob (Sandy) Johnson; nieces, Karen, Cheryl, Ginny, and many more loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father George Johnson and her mother Laura Mae Jackson; brother Sam; sister, Sarah Kaye; and daughter, Theresa Lynne Sutherland.
