Billy Louis McRae

Billy Louis McRae, 87 of Double Springs passed away on March 30, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

Billy was born on March 17, 1932 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. He joined the United States Army and served in the Korean War. Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs where services will be held on Monday at 11:00am. Pastor Drew Robbins will officiate. Burial will be in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Donna McRae Berry; brothers, Howard E. (Shirley) Bonds and Eddie (Debby) Bonds; brother in law, Donnie Lambert; sisters, Mildred E. (Marvin) Minton, Helen E. (Bo) McVay, Martha E. Adams and Shannon Terry; he was Pawpaw to 3 grandchildren, La Jonna Renae Berry, Jonathan Wesley Berry and Brittney Jean Berry; and Pawpaw Bill to 2 great grandchildren, Parker Reid Berry and Stassi Elizabeth Berry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice McRae; parents, Howard and Elizabeth Bonds; mother, Juanita McRae; sisters, Ona Lambert and Hildred Jeffreys; brothers, Oma Edmonson and Telford Edmonson; son in law, John Berry; and brother in law, William Adams.
