Barbara Jo "Bobbye" Wakefield

Barbara Jo "Bobbye" Wakefield, 82, of Haleyville, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Bobbye was born on March 9, 1936 in Childersburg, Alabama. She was a member of Botush Freewill Baptist Church for 43 years.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10am-12pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be at 12 noon. Reverend Gary Wakefield will officiate.  Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Bobbye is survived by her sons, Mark Wakefield and his wife Brenda, and Robert Wakefield and Gale; sister, Judy Winder; she was Nanny to 3 grandchildren, Amanda (Shawn) Moore, Kendra Wakefield and Trent Wakefield; and 2 great grandchildren, Kaileigh Harrison and Gracie Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wakefield; parents, Grady and Annie Willis; brother, Jackie Willis; and sister, Cherry Willis Frye.
