W.J. Buckner

W.J. Buckner, age 83 of Haleyville, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Buckner was born on March 22, 1938 in Bear Creek, Alabama.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:00pm. Brother Rayburn Whitman will officiate. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in the Wiley Branch Community.

W.J. is survived by his sons, Ricky Buckner, and Jerry (Katie) Buckner; grandchildren, Ryan Buckner, Amy Buckner Gilpin, Matthew (Tiffany) Buckner, and Andrew Buckner; and great grandchildren, Hutson Buckner, Rylan Buckner, and Isabella Gilpin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. and Coy Buckner; and sister, Patsy Crane.
