Willene Crowe

Willene Crowe, age 73 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2024 at her residence. 

She was born January 21, 1951 to Ralph and Wilma Kois. Willene was a 1969 graduate of Phillips High School. After high school she graduated from Northwest College with a degree in nursing. Willene worked at Burdick West Hospital for several years as an RN before moving to Winter Haven, Florida in 1984 where she worked until her retirement in 1995 as a charge nurse and forensic nurse. After retirement she moved back to Haleyville in 1998. Willene was a big fan of Elvis Presley, and she loved Alabama football. 

Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2024 from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Homes in Haleyville, Alabama, where services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Thornhill Church of Christ in Haleyville. Ronnie Holt will officiate.  

Willene is survived by her mother, Wilma Bell; siblings, Wanda Kois, Sonny Kois, Terry Kois, Rickey Kois, Galia Iott, Allen Kois, and Sherrie Kois; nieces and nephews, Angela Flanagan, Frankie Kois, Abigail Kois, Joshua Kois, Heather Kois, Lexie Kois, Brandy Chrysler, Lauren Kois, Rachel Kois and Starla Kois; great nieces, Kenzlee Kois, Kacyn Cambell, and Kennedy Kois.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Kois; step-dad, Gene Nealey; niece, Misty Kois; and nephew, Ronnie Joe Flanagan.
