Wayne Smith

Courtesy Notice: Wayne Smith, age 77 of Jasper, passed away December 29, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 22, 1944. Wayne enjoyed family especially his grandchildren and loved to have a good time with his family and friends. He loved his church family at Hunter's Chapel Holy Church of Christ and enjoyed the singings. He was a professional yard-seller and shopper. Wayne was man for his community and country always campaigning for who he believed would be the right person to run our Country and State. He was a Walker County Constable for six years in the Thatch area and worked with the Attorney General to help clean up Walker County. He was Vice President of the "Citizens For A Drug Free Walker County" for eight years. Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hunter's Chapel Holy Church of Christ in Jasper, AL. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Bobbie Smith; two sisters; two brothers; one step daughter; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; three brothers; and one stepson.
