Wanda Gail McKinney

Wanda Gail McKinney, age 67 of Houston, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at Hendix Health and Rehabilitation. 

She was born on May 1, 1957 in Haleyville, Alabama to William and Melinda Lee Stewart Johnson. Wanda loved gardening and fishing. She also loved to read, especially her bible. 

Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Drew Robins officiating. The burial will be at Burdick Cemetery in Houston, Alabama. 

Wanda is survived by her sister, Mary Hall (Terry); five sisters, who live in Indianna and their families; nephews, Victor Watts (Linda), Eric Watts (Danielle), niece, Amanda Smith (Jerry); great nephews, Steven, Jacob, "Little" Eric, Nathan, and Mason; great nieces, Caley, Allison, Torey, Charity, and Skylar; cousin, Kay (Donnie) Nix; second cousin, Ronnie (Stacey) Feltman. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Melinda Johnson; grandparents, Odest and Lilly Johnson, Olen and Rachel Stewart; brother, David Johnson, cousins, James Feltman (Anita), and Becky Smith.
