Virginia Bray

Virginia Mae Cummings Bray 83 of Mobile, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2023.  She was born June 1, 1940 in Haleyville, Alabama.  She has been a resident of Mobile since 1962.

Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband Greashem “Rocky” Bray, her parents W.E. (Ed) Cummings and Ethel Poore Cummings and her baby sister Barbara Dean.

Virginia was employed by Scott Paper Company (Kimberly Clark) from 1962 until retirement.  She was a member of Regency Church of Christ, Mobile, Alabama.

Virginia was a loving and generous friend.  She loved Alabama football, Diet Cokes, and sending cards for every holiday or event to her friends and loved ones.

She is survived by her cousins Steve Poore, Judy Butler Postel, and her brother-in-law Duke Martin (Linda), her dearest friends throughout her life Kathryn and Elbert Cagle, and the Grimes Girls.

Her graveside service will be held at Thorn Hill Church of Christ, Haleyville, Alabama on Tuesday, June 13 at 11:00 am.  Her dear friends and ministers, Allan Eldridge and David Howell officiating.
