Travis Howard Scogin

Travis Howard Scogin, age 83 of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Scogin was born on March 4, 1938 in Haleyville, Alabama.

A memorial service will be Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church in Haleyville.  Brother Velon Bradford will officiate.

Travis is survived by his wife, Christine Scogin; daughters, Myra (Vann) Weems, and Sandy (Mark) Evans; grandchildren, Selena Weems (Jessy) Glover, Felicia Weems (Joel) Johnson, Hayden (Leah Borden) Evans, and Samual (Harley Voyles) Evans; great grandchildren, Lydia Sparks, Owen Sparks, Skylar Johnson, and Preston Johnson; sisters, Laura (Bobby) Bishop, and Brenda Hess; brother, Kermit (Robby) Scogin; brothers-in-law, Jerry Johnson and Sammy (Pat) Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mamie Scogin; grandson, Erik Weems; mother-in-law, Savilla Johnson; father-in-law, Rube Johnson; and sister-in-law, Vonda Johnson.
