Sarah Mildred Samson

Sarah Mildred Samson, 88 of Parrish, entered into rest on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.

Mildred was born on September 10, 1932 in McCalla, Alabama. At the age of 50, she received her LPN degree. She loved working in nursing homes and helping people. While living in Missouri, she worked as an ER nurse. Mildred also had a great love for horses and her farm.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 12-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 2pm. Brother Steve Loggins will officiate. Burial will follow in Arley First Baptist Church Cemetery in Arley.

Mildred is survived by her son, Kenneth Ricky Smith; daughters, Kathy P. Lambert and her husband Rickie, and Linda J. Smith; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Henry and Emma Marie Griffin Short; husband, Wallace R. Samson; and sister, Margaret J. Loggins.
