Ruth Cook

Ruth Cook, age 94 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 28, 1925 to Emmett and Mamie Dye. Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2020 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. . Burial will be at Old Trinity Cemetery. Brother Ronnie Marbutt will officiate. Ruth is survived by her sons, James and Terry Cook; daughter, Dianne Jackson; four grandchildren, Paul Cook, Toby Cook, Christie Cook, and Chris Scoles; one great grandson, Robert Cook; sister, Sarah Moss; brother, Donell Dye; and sisters in law, Gwen and Kathy Dye, and Rosalee Mobley. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Sherman Cook; parents, Mamie and Emmett Dye; sisters, Kathy Dye and Linda Martello; and brothers, Carl and Earl Dye.
