Roger Dale Shadix

Roger Dale Shadix, 66, of the Sardis Community, entered into rest on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Cullman Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. Dale was born on July 3, 1952 in Cullman, Alabama. He graduated from Addison High School in 1970. Dale enjoyed hunting for deer, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 11am-1pm at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Addison, Alabama where services will be held at 1pm. Brother Kyle Woodard, Ethan Shadix, Leah Lee, and Paul Bishop will be officiating. Dale is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan Bishop Shadix; son, Ethan Shadix and his wife Kaytlyn; daughter, Leah Lee and her husband Justin; sisters, Karen (Jerrol) Hood, and Jan McCormick. He was Known as "Papa Dale" to his 4 grandchildren, Morgan Lee, Mack Lee, Aaron Gray Shadix, and Weston Dale Shadix. He was preceded in death by parents, Maxell "Mack" and Helen Shadix; nephew, Aaron Bishop; father-in-law, Odis Bishop; brother-in-law (but considered a brother), Hez Bishop; and 2 special babies.
