Roger Wayne Alexander, age 81 of Double Springs, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his residence.

 

He was born February 24, 1942 to Hardie and Joyce Duncan Alexander. Roger loved his grandchildren and his animals. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he also loved to watch westerns.

 

The visitation will be on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs where the funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. The burial will be in Williams Cemetery in the Black Pond Community. 

 

Roger is survived by his sons, Wayne Alexander, Joel (Jan) Alexander; daughter, Angie (Charlie) Mccullar Thompson; sisters, Belinda Couch, and Glenda Alexander. 9 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardie and Joyce Alexander; daughters, Myra Moore, Olivia Alexander Johnson; son, Luke Alexander; and brother, Lonnie Alexander.
