Randal Prestridge

Mackie Randal Prestridge, age 66 of Haleyville, passed away peacefully in his sleep March 27, 2020 due to natural causes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Brother Ricky Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Randal was born June 30, 1953 to Rachel and Vernice Prestridge. He attended high school in Hamilton, Alabama and was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Haleyville. Through the week, Randal’s friendly smile could be seen at Jolly Dan’s, where he impacted so many with his love for God and his gentle humor. Randal is survived by his loving wife, Judy Martin Prestridge; daughter, Stacey Holcomb and her husband, Michael; grandsons, Blake, Zach, and Jordan Duncan; brother, Roger Prestridge and his wife, Joyce; sisters, Joyce McClain, Peggy Cole and her husband, James, and Glenda Yerby; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernice Leon and Rachel Reynolds Prestridge; sister, Virginia Prestridge Reeves; and grandparents, Homer and Mattie Scott Prestridge and Mack and Mary Harris Reynolds.
