Millie Flanigan

Millie Josephine Flanigan, age 77 of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Russellville Hospital.

Millie was born on January 8, 1945 in Houston, Alabama to Columbus Miller and Lilly Bell Finley Miller. She enjoyed playing cards, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. She also liked to watch murder mysteries. But most of all, she loved her family. She loved playing with her grandkids, and could be counted on to call and check on her family every day.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Dewayne Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Church #1 Cemetery.

Millie is survived by her son, Anthony Flanigan and wife Tammy; daughter, Tammy Frost and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Felisha Martin and husband Ryan, Amanda Christian and husband Daniel, Chris Flanigan, Justin Flanigan, Rachel Flanigan, Stephanie Frost, and Beth Frost; and great grandchildren, LeLand Harrison, Dalton Frost, Tanner Frost, Brent Frost, Sofia Salas, Jaxson Adams, Landen Adams, Malcolm Martin, Samuel Flanigan, and Chase Frost.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Flanigan; parents, Columbus Miller and Lilly Bell Finley Miller; sister, Wilodean Smith; and brothers, R.C. Miller, Johnny Miller, Oliver Miller, Henry Miller, Eugene Miller, and Windell Miller.
