Maxwell Shirley Daniel

Maxwell Shirley Daniel, 89, of Phil Campbell entered into rest on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Daniel was born June 16, 1931 in Marshall County, Alabama.   Shirley was a kind hearted man who loved his family and enjoyed helping others.  He was a great neighbor and took care of his mother’s yard.  He loved to garden, both flowers and vegetables and loved to give vegetables to neighbors.  He raised bees and loved to hunt and fish.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Vance Hutton will officiate.   Burial will follow in Phil Campbell Cemetery.

Shirley is survived by his daughters, Teresa Logan (Anthony), Rhonda Evers, Mitzi Mansell and Jessica Molock (Drew); brother, Quintin Daniel; sisters, Vonda Townsend and Wanda Faye Emerson (Bobby); 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Seaborn Taylor Daniel and Idella Beatrice White Daniel; wife, Edith Ruth Taylor Daniel; brothers, William Jr. Daniel, Roosevelt Francis Daniel, Jimmy Ray Daniel and Bobby Glynn Daniel and sister, Betty Sue Baldy.
