Maudie Bailey

Maudie Bell Bailey, age 83 of Bear Creek, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at her residence surrounded by loving family.

Mrs. Bailey was born on March 12, 1938 in Phil Campbell, Alabama.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00pm. Reverend Greg Webb will officiate. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama.

Maudie is survived by her  daughters, Louise (Ray) Chapman, Norma (Wade) Perkins, Reba Bailey, and Linda (Dennis) Briscoe; son, Gary (Angela) Bailey; sister, Arvalene Ray; grandchildren, Lorenzo Garcia, Gina Garcia, Megan Daniel Briscoe, Elizabeth Bailey, Sarah Bailey, Julianna Bailey, and Laura Bailey; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Bailey; son, Jerry Wayne bailey; daughter, Darlene Bailey; granddaughter, Felecia Hollis; parents, Earsey and Patsy Carpenter; and sister, Eunice Elkins.
