Marjorie Stroud

Marjorie Stroud, age 94 of Double Springs, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Hendrix Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 13, 1926 to Roy Lee and Irna-Adams Herring. Visitation will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. . Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Steve Wakefield will officiate the service. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Linda (Richard) Howell; sisters, Nell Desmond and Faye Trussell; Six grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stroud; parents, Roy and Irna Herring; son, Donnie Blanchard; daughter, Brenda Horton; brothers, Clarence Edward Herring and Robert Stanley Herring; sisters, Nina Watts, Mary Helen Laney, and Dot Snyder; grandsons, Phillip Kiser and Keith Blanchard.
