Margaret Marie Wallace, 74 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born on July 30, 1945 in Winston County, Alabama to Amos and Bertie Cockrell. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Double Springs. She loved Facebook, cooking and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 6-8pm at First Baptist Church, Double Springs, where services will be held on Thursday at 2pm. Brother Phillip Twilley will officiate. Burial will be in Double Springs Memorial Cemetery.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Eddie (Angela) Wallace, Rickey (Tracy) Wallace, and Tim (Stephanie) Wallace; daughter, Donna Hutcheson; 20 grandchildren, Brad (Jamie) Wallace, Chris (Ashlee) Wallace, Joel (Kimberly) Hutcheson, Sarah (Kenny) Lindsey, Joann (Kevin) Comeens, Bosha Wallace, Tim (Bridgette) Wallace, Erin (Jordan) Scott, Jessie Wallace, Tucker Wallace, Zena (Chris) Adair, and Nena Glass; 23 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Ona) Cockrell, and James Cockrell; sister, Joyce (Lynn) Dehart; sisters-in-law, Lavern Watts, Dorothy Wallace, and Becky Wallace Lolly; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, William Wallace; parents, Amos and Bertie Cockrell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Will and Martley Wallace; son-in-law, Joel Hutcheson; nieces, Kym Wallace and Barbara Watts; brothers-in-law, Wilton Wallace, Bobby Wallace and Gene Watts; and sister-in-law, Louise (Hercil) Curtis.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Gideons International.
