Lesslie Harlon Garrison

Lesslie Harlon Garrison, age 77 of Double Springs, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Lakeland Community Hospital surrounded by his family and close friends. 

 

He was born August 11, 1946 in Winston County to John Glenn and Bertie Lee Garrison. Lesslie was a welder by trade and a handyman for many of his friends. He enjoyed doing lawncare and Auburn Football. Lesslie loved The Lord and his church, New Beginnings in Christ Church in Double Springs. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who was in need. 

 

Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Pastor Ed Jordan will officiate.

 

Lesslie is survived by his wife, Sarah Joyce Garrison; sons, Zane Garrison and Zacharie (Vickie) Garrison; daughter, Zena (Marc) Ingram; brother, Lee Dale Garrison; grandchildren, Antonio McLain, Chris Hodge, Sean Ingram, Zacharie (Felicia) Garrison, Ryan (Molly) Ingram, James (Tiffany) Garrison, and Dylan Garrison; great grandchildren, Jayden McLain, Jinsyn McLain, Jaxon Morgan, Adam Talis, D.J. Garrison, Karson Garrison, Loryn Ingram, Calvin Ingram, and Lillian Garrison; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Glenn and Bertie Lee Garrison; sister, Gail Alexander; son, Zalmon Wayne Garrison; and granddaughter, Sarah Renee Ingram.
