Larry Marion Cleghorn

Larry Marion Cleghorn, 76, of Hartselle entered into rest on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Larry was born March 6, 1944 in Winston County, Alabama, the last of 7 children born to Allen and Ruby Cleghorn.  He loved all of his family, especially his grandchildren and proudly served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Larry was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama and worked for 3M in Decatur for 32 years.  He enjoyed doing woodwork, football and fishing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 11:30 am to 1pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will begin at 1pm. Rev. Robert Partridge will officiate.  Burial with military honors will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Helicon.

Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rebecca Cleghorn; son, Shannon Cleghorn; grandchildren, Magan Cleghorn and Jake Cleghorn; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Cleghorn, Tommie Cleghorn and Jane Cleghorn Knight and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Orton Cleghorn and Georgia Ruby Cleghorn and brothers, Max, Dempsey, Rabon, Alton, Ricky and Jimmy Cleghorn.
