Larry D Bishop, 81 of Addison, passed away May 20, 2023 at his residence.

He was born May 2, 1942, in Winfield, Alabama. He was a member of the Army 82nd Airborne for 4 years and a football coach for 25 years. He was an educator as well as a football coach. He influenced many young men. He taught many to play chess and loved playing games, but would not let his kids win. He enjoyed talking about “The Canterbury Tales,” and loved a good steak. He loved Alabama football, bluegrass music, and hunting and fishing. He was a smart man with many talents, but not a flashy man. People were often amazed at his hidden talents.
