Kenneth "Ken" Forrest Rushing

Kenneth Forrest “Ken” Rushing, age 73 of Haleyville, passed away December 24, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

He was born August 8, 1947 to William Thomas and Louise Maurine Rushing. Ken proudly served his Country in the United States Army. He was an Auburn Football fan and was a supporter of Phillips High Sports. Ken enjoyed karaoke, playing cards, and country music. He loved being the ‘center of attention’ and took pride in anything he set himself to do.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Brother Ricky Mann will officiate.

Ken is survived by his spouse, Rita Rushing; children, Ginger Rushing, Scott (Lou Ann) Rushing, Jessica Yeager, and Haley (Jesse) Smith; siblings, Wayne (Quita) Rushing, Jimmy (Virginia) Rushing, Arlene (Wayne) Harbin, Renee (Danny) McCrary, and Gaye (Mark) Dodson; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Maurine Rushing; and brother, Don Rushing.
