Kathern Louada Bridges

Kathern Louada Bridges, age 65, of Haleyville, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Double Springs, Alabama.

Kathern was born on November 11, 1954 in Fall City, Alabama to James Clarence and Willie Lou Barnes.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Flat Woods Cemetery in Nauvoo, Alabama. Brother Adam Tidwell will officiate.

Kathern is survived by her daughter, Amy (Eddie) Welch; son, Christopher Bridges (Kelly Smith); grandchildren, Christanna Bridges, Gauge Bridges, Jasmine Bridges, Eddie “Booner” Welch Jr., Dante` Smith, and Keli Orton; great grandchildren, Avianna Smith, Navana Smith, and unborn Kathern Belle Planchet; siblings, WL (Shirley) Barnes, Billy Joe (Eva) Barnes, Elizabeth (Albert) Cagle, Nemia (Cranford) Taylor, Juanita (Earl) Liverett, Sara (Joe) Baker, and Wanda (Anthony) Dutton; a host of nieces and nephews; and former husband, Milton Wayne Bridges.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Clarence and Willie Lou (Nix) Barnes; brother, James Howard Barnes; and grandparents.
