J.T. Howell

J.T. Howell, age 91 of Double Springs, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at Hanceville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born May 8, 1929 to Edgar and Daisy Bonds Howell. J.T. worked until his retirement for the State of Alabama Highway Department and farmed for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather and was "the Best Daddy Ever!"

Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 2:45 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Steton Hayes will officiate.

J.T. is survived by his son, J.T. (Susan) Howell, Jr.; daughters, Lisa (Dan) Linehan, Melanie (Danny) Hayes, and Kim (Rick) Blankenship; grandchildren, Chris (Susan) Howell, Kevin (Cathy) Howell, Blake (Alisha) Linehan, Walt (Bridget) Hayes, Hunter Blankenship, and Timber Blankenship; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lorene Howell; sons, Gregory Lance Howell and Rudi Brent Howell; parents, Edgar and Daisy Howell; and a host of siblings.
