Johney Odis Gilliland

Johney Odis Gilliland, 65 of Cullman, formerly of Addison, entered into rest on Monday, February 26, 2024 at his home.

He was born August 18, 1958 in Addison, Alabama to James Odis Gilliland and Pauline Alma Morgan McCurley. Johney was an avid Crimson Tide fam, who loved his grandchildren and enjoyed anything outdoors. He had a gift of “talking” to dogs and was a true dog whisperer.

No services are planned at this time.

Johney is survived by his sons, Jonathan Gilliland and his wife Amanda, and Jake Gilliland and his wife Emily; grandchildren, Zoiey, Zada, Malcolm, Maggie, Maddox, Immanuel, Aubree, Graham and Clara James; sister, Debbie Smithson and her husband Greg; sister in law, Virginia Gilliland; and a host of nieces and nephews..

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis Gilliland and Pauline Morgan McCurley; grandson, Zander Gilliland; brothers, Bobby Gilliland and Billy Gilliland; and sisters Carolyn Hayes and Patricia Oliver.
