Joan Morgan Connell

Joan Morgan Connell, 81, of Addison, Alabama entered into rest on September 25, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Connell was born September 4, 1939 in Addison, Alabama.  Joan instilled in her children values and hard work, and encouraged them to treat all people the same regardless of color or social status.    

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 12pm-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will begin at 2pm.  Joan’s sons Jimmy Dewayne Pratt and Mackey Watts will officiate.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Addison.

Joan is survived by her sons, Jimmy Dewayne Pratt and his wife, Sherry; Ronald Dean “Dinky” Pratt and his wife, Sherry, Clynoid Pratt, Darryl Pratt and Mackey Watts and his wife, Candy; daughters, Tammy Moore and June Bentley; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; several cherished step-children and step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bertha Morgan; brother, Max (Ruby) Morgan; sister, Pauline (O.D.) McCurley and an infant granddaughter, Amanda Pratt.
