Janet Lee Smith Young

Janet Lee Smith Young, 47 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Friday, June 28, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center.

Janet was born on July 17, 1971 in Haleyville. She graduated in 1989 from Addison High School. She loved playing with her grandson. Janet was a great wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 11am to 12 noon at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. A graveside service will be at Curtis Cemetery in Double Springs at 12:30. Reverend Buford Smith will officiate.

Janet is survived by her husband of 24 years, Odell Young; daughter, Tosha Young; mother, Jane Smith; brothers, Jackie Smith and his wife Veronica, and Tommy Smith and his wife Beth; grandson, Kason Young; niece, Savannah Smith, step-nieces Victoria Martin and Olivia Ward.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Young; father, Thomas Smith; father-in-law, Alton Young; mother-in-law, Janie Young; and uncle, Johnny Chambers.
