James "Squab" Miller

James “Squab” Miller, age 75 of Haleyville, entered into rest on June 30, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 20, 1943 to Riley and Lee Ester Miller. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Brother Brandon Banks will officiate the service. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. James is survived by his son, Walter (Melody) Miller; daughters, Melissa Miller, Melinda (Denny) Holmes, and Jackie (Michael) Wilt; brother, Roland (Joyce) Miller; and was “Papaw” to four grandchildren, Bryan (Vicki) Steele, Morgan Allstot, Riley Miller, and Owen Miller; and three great grandchildren, Brayden, Bryson, and Julianne Steele. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara Miller; second wife, Carolyn Miller; and brother, Charlie Miller
