Helen Thompson

Helen Thompson, 73 of Addison, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born on November 10, 1946 in Cullman, Alabama. She worked as a cosmetologist in the Cullman area for many years until her retirement.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing solitaire and loved ice cream.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held on Saturday at 11am. Terry Michael will officiate. Burial will follow in Blair Methodist Church Cemetery in the Blair Community.

Helen is survived by her husband, Ellous Thompson; daughter, Kim Rooks and her husband Greg; granddaughters, Katelyn Sudduth and her husband Holden, and Kendall Rooks and her boyfriend Te'Marcus Johnson; brother, Elwin Overton and his wife Marcelle; and nephew, Kenneth Overton and his wife Lisa.

She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Thompson; and parents, Huey and Cordie Overton.
