Gail Cagle

Gail Cagle, 87 of Double Springs, passed away December 27, 2023, at North Alabama Medical Center.

She was born August 8, 1936, in Double Springs, Alabama. Gail loved spending time with her family and loved her Mt. Carmel church family. She enjoyed sewing and the Quilt Guild, walking at the community center, and a good cup of coffee.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Double Springs. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 2:00pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where Mrs. Cagle will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the services in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Dennis Stewart will officiate.

Gail is survived by her son, Steve Cagle and his wife, Sharon Cagle (Abbott); grandchildren, Kayla Anthony and her husband, Justin Kurtz, Blake Anthony and his wife Bethany Anthony (Harris), and Kaci Colbert (Cagle) and her husband Ethan Colbert; and great grandchildren, Kylan and Luka Anthony; and a host of beloved family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Cagle; daughter, Martha Cagle; parents, Herbert and Elvie Batchelor; sister, Maxine Comeens (Batchelor); and brothers, Alvin and Ray Batchelor.
