Heather Cantrell

Heather Cantrell, age 46 of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.

She was born April 22, 1977 to Bobby Ray and Carolyn Henderson Rowell. Heather was known for her larger-than-life personality, her sense of humor, and her big heart. She would go above and beyond to help whoever was in need. Heather was a big humanitarian who loved all kinds of animals. Her perseverance and ‘stubborn’ attitude kept her going as she courageously fought a lengthy battle with cancer. 

Family will receive friends Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Debbie Martin and Heather’s son, David Cantrell will officiate. 

Heather is survived by her daughter, Samantha Rowell (fiancé, Cameron Ballew); son, David Cantrell; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Ray and Carolyn Rowell; brother, Heath Ray Rowell; special aunt, Maylene Rowell; and numerous other aunts and uncles.
