Hazel Moody Garrison, age 84 of Haleyville, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 30, 1937 to Andrew and Gladys Jackson Mann.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Posey Mill Cemetery. Brother Larry Dyar and Brother Jerry Boyles will officiate.
Hazel is survived by her children, Kathy (Bill) Marks, Ricky (Christine) Moody, and Royce (Brenda) Moody; grandchildren, Shebra Hosler, Melita Roseboom, Bre (Jonathan) Lindsey, Kara (Dudley) Lewis, Ricky Moody, Jr., Jessica (Shane) Hogan, Angela (Jeremy) Stiff, Jerritt Whitman, Misty Hampton, Steven Moody, Amanda (Brandon) Key, Wes Moody, and Justin (Sarah) Moody; twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Idell Mann and Letha Mann; a host of nieces and nephews; and her three best friends, Barbara Garrison, Winnie Jo Bennett, and Martha Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Gladys Jackson Mann; sons, Ray and Robert Moody; first husband, Chester Moody; second husband, Leldon Garrison; sister, Lola Liverett; and brothers, James, Travis, Homer, and Arley Mann.
Pallbearers will be Steven Moody, Wes Moody, Justin Moody, Ricky “Bo” Moody, Brandon Key, Johnny Key, Tyler Riddle, Jon Lindsey, and Derry Hosler.
