Glennis Vernon Hill

Glennis Vernon Hill, age 74 of the Wilson Bend Community, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Glennis was born April 8, 1950 to William Riley Hill and Vera Mae Chambless Hill. He was a hard working family man who always put others ahead of himself. Glennis was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church (Wilson Bend). His children and grandchildren were his life. 

Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church (Wilson Bend) where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Brother Mike Tidwell will officiate.

Glennis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gail Hill; daughter, Sandra (Randall) Busby; son, Nathan Hill; grandchildren, Mallory Taylor and Justin Taylor; sisters, Martha Drodzewski and Shelva Jean Hay; brothers, Hubert (Ann) Hill and Glenn (Sharon) Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Vera Mae Hill; brother, Junior Hill; and sisters, Lataine Krizan, Mavis Strickland, and Rita Behel. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winston County Rescue Squad ambulance service.
