Glenda Gail Gable

Glenda Gail Gable, age 74 of Phil Campbell, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.

She was born December 27, 1949 to Grady and Mittie Sutherland. Glenda loved her family, especially her boys and three grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook; her specialty was chocolate cake, chocolate gravy and biscuits.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery. John Stancil will officiate. 

Glenda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bobby Ray Gable; sons, Grant Ray (Tara) Gable and Kent Ray Gable; grandchildren, Nicholas Ray Gable, Maggie Leigh, and Michaela Celeste Gable; sister, Dena (Harold) Taylor; sister-in-law, Judy Sutherland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Grady and Mittie Sutherland; and eight brothers and sisters.
