Girthey Margret Burleson

Girthey Margret Burleson, 88, of Houston, Alabama entered into rest on June 4, 2019 at Haleyville Health Care and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Burleson was born on July 15, 1930 in Hamilton, Alabama. Girthey was a member of Grace Baptist Church for 25 years and was an active member of The Refreshment Center. She worked at Haleyville Textile Mill for 32 years and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Jeff Burleson will officiate.

Girthey is survived by her sons, Jeff Burleson and his wife Sherry, and Greg Burleson; grandchildren, Joshua Burleson, and Caleb Burleson; great grandchild, Colton Eli Burleson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Matilda Kennedy and 12 siblings.
