April 26, 1953 — April 8, 2019

Georgia Etta Willcutt Gardner, 65 of Haleyville, slipped out of her family’s arms straight into the arms of Jesus on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Princeton Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was born on April 26, 1953 in Marion County to the late F.B. and Ruby Reed Willcutt. She grew up in the Rock City area and was a 1971 graduate Winfield High School. Georgia was a member of Ireland Freewill Baptist Church for 40 years, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She played the base guitar in church and sang in the family quartet for over 30 years. She worked at Paul Green’s Café, Mac’s Cleaners, and done ironing in her home. Georgia loved her dog “Molly” which was her baby and at home her favorite past time was playing and tending to her. She enjoyed gardening, drawing, sketching, singing, writing songs, reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with family, working in flower beds, and took pride in developing music and recording CD’s at Fame Recording Studios. She helped raise anyone she could and anyone who came into her house would be offered an ice cold can of Dr. Pepper. Back in the days, she was hard to beat at super Nintendo games.
