Rev. Frank Desiderio, age 62, of Haleyville, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at UAB Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on April 18, 1957, in Jupiter, Florida to Frences Joseph Desiderio, Sr. and Elizabeth Marie Desiderio. He and his wife, LaVerne, pioneered and pastored Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God for 35 years. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Haleyville. Rev. Frankie Miller, Rev. Gayle Lombard, Rev. Rodney Hedrick, Rev. Bobby James, and Rev. Randy Sudduth will officiate. Burial will be in Winston Memorial Cemetery. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, LaVerne Walters Desiderio; sons, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Desiderio and Joseph (Kristynna) Desiderio; daughter, Mariam (Colton) Ward; and five grand children, Isaiah Desiderio, Brooke Desiderio, Laken Desiderio, Vera Desiderio, and Cedar Desiderio; sisters, Fran (Jim) Bateman and Betty (James) Gondles; and half brother, Desi Desiderio. He was preceded in death by his father, Frences Joseph Desiderio, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Marie Desiderio; sisters, Mary Louise Ericson and Rose Ann Rogers; and brother, John Michael. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God building fund in Rev. Franks honor.
