Frank R. Burdick

Frank Randolph Burdick, 83, died January 6, 2022 at Falkville Health Care Center in Falkville, Alabama.

Born May 30, 1938 at Jasper, Alabama, he was preceded in death by his parents Isadore Benjamin Burdick and Ann Elizabeth Melson Burdick.

Frank graduated from Winston County High School, class of 1956, where he participated in football and Boy Scouts. After completing his studies at Walker College in Jasper, he attended the University of North Alabama, graduating with a major in Biology. He was a Science teacher for one year and later worked for a Veterinary Supply Company.

His father served in the U.S. Army and they lived various places after WWII (including Japan) until his medical retirement, when the family returned to make their home in Double Springs.

Frank was married to Teresa Sue Brown Church, of Tuscaloosa, and was preceded in death by their daughter, Ashley Lyn Burdick.

As his health began to fail, faithful cousins, Kathryn Hilton Bailey and Robert Lowell Burdick comforted and cared for Frank. After their passing, Robert Benjamin Burdick and his daughter, MaKenna Nichole, continued this loving support until his death.

Services for Frank Burdick will be April 3 at 2 PM at the Fairview cemetery #1. Frank requested to have his ashes spread between his parents. We will spread a portion of his ashes as he wished, and the remainder will be buried next to his parents. Pastor Kelly Ergle will lead prayer and say a few words, we will spread/bury the ashes and then close with the singing of the Old Rugged Cross. If you wish to attend, we will see you there. if you are unable to attend, please be with us in spirit and prayer. Thank you and God bless!
