Eva L. Long

Eva L. Long, 88, of Haleyville entered into rest on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Lakeland Community Hospital.

Mrs. Long was born on July 30, 1932. Eva was an LPN who loved nursing, and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved her church and Bible study. Mrs. Long was an avid reader and she loved to tell stories.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at New Prospect Baptist Church, where the service will begin at 2:00PM. Dr. Ron Horton will be officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

Eva is survived by her sons, David Lee Kaufman, James E. Kaufman, and Mike Long; daughters, Debra Fries, Terri Shaw, Kathy Long, and Annette Venson; also 7 grandchildren, and multiple great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Long; parents, Ray and Jane Combs and daughter, Jean Sowell.
