Elton Alford Jack

Elton Alford Jack, age 88 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his residence. Elton was born on January 6, 1934 in Haleyville, Alabama to Joseph Virgle Jack and Bertha Elizabeth Berry Jack. He was a Deacon at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and a Mason of F & AM of the Grand Lodge of Haleyville, Alabama. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, Alabama with funeral services to follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Dennis Steward and Zachary Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery. Elton is survived by his wife, Margaret Jack; daughter, Phyllis Jack; grandchildren, Amanda Smith Thomas and husband Jason, Kayla Smith Jennings and husband Ben, and Zachary Smith and wife Rosalyn; great grandchildren, Jackson Hightower, Adaline Smith, Remington Smith, Aniston Smith, and Baby Colton Jennings on the way; brother, Wilton Jack and wife Truby; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Virgle Jack and Bertha Elizabeth Berry Jack; sister, Agnes Tidwell; brother, Elbert Jack; and great grandson, Jayden Thomas. Pallbearers will be Zachary Smith, Ben Jennings, Jackson Hightower, Jeff Jack, Keith Jack, and Gaylon Tidwell.
