Ellen Katherine Taylor

Ellen Katherine Taylor, age 78 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama.

Mrs. Taylor was born on June 4, 1942 in Newburgh, Indiana.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 11am-12pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will begin at 12pm.  Pastor Benny Knight will officiate.  Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama.  The family requests all who attend, please wear a mask.

Ellen is survived by her sons, Jimmy Davis (Susan), Johnnie Gillion and Jeff Gillion (Nora); daughter, Lynn Meier; grandchildren, Bradley Davis (Jennifer), John Gillion, Jessica Davis, James Gillion (Claudia), Sierra Davis, Jillian Gillion and Josh Gillion; great grandchildren, Sean Reisen, Samuel Davis, Victoria Davis and Jordyn Manley; sisters, Brenda Cooper, Jenny Morrison, Ginger Carroll and Rita Legzas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Ethyl Cooper; husband, Alvin Taylor, brother, Melvin Cooper; sisters, Emma Shows, Judy Hess, Nellie Salee and Marsha Sutton.
