Edna Buckner

Edna Buckner, age 86 of Haleyville, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Lakeland Community Hospital.

Mrs. Buckner was born on March 25, 1935 in Haleyville, Alabama. Mrs. Edna loved her family, loved traveling, and loved going to Jacks.

Visitation will be Monday, September 6, 2021 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Brother Rayburn Whitman will officiate. Burial will be at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Wiley Branch Community.

Edna is survived by her sons, Jerry (Terisa) Buckner, and Rickey Buckner; grandchildren, Matthew (Tiffany) Buckner, Andrew Buckner, Ryan Buckner, Amy (Nick) Gilpin; and great grandchildren, Isabella Gilpin, Hutson Colt Buckner, and Rylan Buckner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lily Dodd; and several siblings.
