Dorothy Wallace

Dorothy Wallace, 90 of Double Springs, passed away November 16, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on July 7, 1932 in Double Springs, Alabama. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Double Springs. She loved serving on various committees - fellowship, and working in the nursery. Dorothy loved her family, church family, and her community.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5:00pm -8:00pm at First Baptist Church in Double Springs, where the service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00am. Brother George Whitten will officiate. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sheila Wallace; sister, Bobbie Garrett; brothers, George Lester and his wife Jannie, and Jerry Lester and his wife Sandra; sisters-in-law, Vern Watts, and Becky Lolley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton T. Wallace; parents, Ralph and Myrtle Lester; brother, Junior Lester; nephew, Jeff Lester; and brother-in-law, Charles Garrett.
