Connie Rose Dickerson, 69, of Arley, entered into rest on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Dickerson was born November 17, 1950. Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended West Point High School, Bevill State College and Wallace State Community College. She was a surgical technician and enjoyed gardening, sewing, had a green thumb and loved roses. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will follow at 1 p.m., Brother Adam Rogers officiating. Burial will be in New Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Logan. Connie is survived by her husband, J.D. Dickerson; sons, Scotty Joe (Summer) Watson and Jason (Jessica) Watson; stepdaughter, DeeDee (Tim) Cooper; stepmother, Freda Burgess; sister, Karen Wilkins; grandchildren, Zebary Waston, Zachary (Lindsey) Watson, Zoe (Kyle) Lambert, Austin Watson, Tristan Watson, Alivia Watson, Piper Watson and Cade Cooper; four great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Roann Fraiser and Judy (C.V) Key; brother-in-law, Ershel (Doris) Dickerson; nieces and nephews, Justin (April) Burgess, Eshaunae (Jason) Downs, Stephanie (Matt) Sandlin, Tiffany (Luke) Bumgart and a host of other nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn Jackson Burgess and Era Dalphine Burgess and her brother, Michael Jackson Burgess.
