Christopher Lee Tasker, age 51 of Double Springs, passed away April 23, 2024 in Houston, Alabama. 


He was born March 14, 1973 to John Dale and Gwendolyn Sue Taylor Tasker. Christopher loved to ride Harley Davidsons and go hunting. He enjoyed life and he lived it to the fullest. 


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 1pm at Liberty Grove Baptist Church, 4495 County Road 15, Haleyville, Alabama 35565.  A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1504 Macedonia Road, Newnan, Georgia to bury a portion of his ashes with his father. The following week, the family will spread the remaining ashes in the Blue Ridge Mountains.


Christopher is survived by his mother, Gwendolyn Sue Taylor Tasker; brother, John (Mary) Tasker; son, Brandon Alexander Tasker; aunts, Lavonia Taylor, Glynace Jo Taylor Hood (Wendell), Wanda Gay Taylor Kiker, and Robin Hope Tasker Henley (Mike); uncles, Ronald Tasker (Kathy), and Monte “J” Tasker; nephew, Jonathan Rogers; great nieces, Ella Rogers, and Kindal Ward; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his wife Melanie Couch Tasker; father, John Dale Tasker; uncles, Samuel Edward Taylor and George Walton Taylor; cousin, Mark Kiker and Andrew Taylor; grandparents, Louie Edward Taylor, Susie Avalee Dyer Taylor, Donald Claude Tasker Sr., and Anna Margaret King Tasker; uncle, John Kiker; aunt, Sandie Tasker Gohn. 


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the name of Chris Tasker to the American Heart Association.
