Christine Luneida Hamby, age 83 of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on December 24, 1939 in Haleyville, Alabama.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 2:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where burial will follow at Frost Chapel Cemetery. Brother Tommy Hamby and Brother Rayburn Whitman will officiate.

Christine is survived by her children, Frances (Harlan) Cornelius, Alan (Connie) Hamby, Tommy Hamby, and O’Neal (Judy) Hamby; grandchildren, Lori (Sid) Sanders, Brandon (Courtney) Hamby, Emily (Blythe) Green, Heath Hamby, Brooke (Keith) Cruze, Amanda (Cory) Shaver, and Bradley (Leah) Hamby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmric and Nellie Whitman; husband, James Hamby; son, Marty Hamby; granddaughter, Connie Turner; grandson, Jeremy Hamby; and daughter-in-law, Angie Hamby.
