Cener Wilbanks Obituary (1936

Cener Athel Wilbanks, age 88 passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Russellville Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1936 to Joe and Alice Donaldson. Cener favorite pastime was working in the yard and gardening. He also loved tending to his chickens and ducks; spending time with his grandchildren and going to church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where service will be held on September 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama. Dr. Sherman Kimbrough will officiate. Cener is survived by his wife, Laura Wilbanks; sister, Docie Dill; children, Robert Wilbanks(Angie), James Wilbanks(Joyce), Lynnell Harris(David), William Eckerfield(Rosa), Patricia Eckerfield, Donald Eckerfield(Glenda), David Eckerfield(Christy), and Tammy Dye(Travis); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Alice Donaldson; brothers, J.D. Donaldson, Opton Donaldson and Donald Donaldson; sister, Dorothy Taylor.
