Bobby Rowell

Bobby Ray “Bob” Rowell, age 79 of Haleyville, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 13, 1944 to Amos and Lillian Rowell. Bob served as a Fireman and emergency personnel with the Haleyville Fire Department for over 20 years. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver for both Rowe Machinery and Shelter products.

Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2023 from Noon- 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m.. Entombment will be at Winston Memorial Mausoleum. Brother Gary Wakefield will officiate.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Heather Cantrell; granddaughter, Samantha Rowell; grandson, David Cantrell; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Lillian Rowell; wife, Carolyn Henderson Rowell; son, Heath Rowell; brothers, Clarence and Jimmy Rowell; and sisters, Betty Jean Hicks and Maylene Rowell.
